A no-frills diner that has great customer service and fairly good coffee. My girlfriend and I split the gluten free French toast and were a bit underwhelmed as the toast was not thick but to be fair, I did enjoy the meal and the total cost for the gf French toast, side of eggs, and a coffee came in at about twenty total for the two of us to dine here. The menu has many options, and I would definitely come back if I was in the area to try more of their dining options. I recommend you give it a try if you are in the town of Poughkeepsie. We were immediately greeted and welcomed when we walked in and we knew we were going to have a fabulous breakfast! The girls were wonderful and accommodating and our waitress was very nice and listened to us chatter about why we were in the area, etc. The coffee was hot. The iced tea was fresh brewed, and the homemade corned beef and hash was amazing! You will not regret eating here!

Such a cute resturaunt with an amazing vibe. Staff was super helpful and made sure we were well taken care of. Please visit if you are in the area you won't regret it.

Great breakfast place, is always packed but we always managed to get a table. Staff is always great, is a family place so the owner daughter help on the weekends which is cute. Is a small place but their food and service is always on point. Their pancakes are great.

The food is always delicious and the staff are always really nice. They know most people are in a hurry as they're across from the court house. It's an open area with some old benches. I like the antique seating. My only complaint is they started using soy oil in their cooking. As I'm allergic to it.

With a name like Alex, I had very high standards and expectations for it! Solid breakfast spot in downtown Poughkeepsie and easy to get to from the Amtrak. My partner and I got the cheddar omelet and the house made corned beef hash with eggs (over easy). Both delicious and fueled our journey across the Empire State Trail Hudson walking bridge (which is about a 15 min walk from Alex's). Service was friendly and attentive and the space itself was spacious and hometown diner-like. I'd return back to try some of their lunch options too!

They were HOPPING on a Saturday afternoon for brunch/ lunch. Got seated quickly at the counter and had excellent, friendly service. Absolutely fabulous gluten free options for both breakfast and lunch. Street parking was readily available.

This is a landmark Greek restaurant located in the business area of Poughkeepsie, NY near the court house having municipal parking close by. The food was fresh, the service was friendly and I have been back every time I am in the area.

Well right away I was afraid that there would be an insane wait and as a party of one, that's kinda deal breaker for me. However, I got seated at the bar immediately while the dining room was an hour wait! As soon as I sat down my server was there to ask if I wanted coffee, which I did. She was even kind enough to give me a small dash of almond milk instead of the creamer they had. The vibe was a bit of a madhouse, but it's mother's day and they obviously are THE brunch spot in downtown Poughkeepsie. The menu was a little restrictive for a vegan, but I was able to make due. If you're a vegetarian who allows Eggs, there's TONS of options. And I modify my plant based diet as Travel allows, so today I allowed myself some eggs. I ordered the 2 egg platter: Poached with Home Frys and multigrain toast (no butter). Plus the coffee, I'd say this was a great brunch for me.
